The CORK system is an external thermal insulation composite system (known as the ETICS) and is designed to thermally and acoustically isolate the opaque areas from the facades. Its composition based on Cork and Natural Hydraulic Cal gives a set of distinct characteristics where high permeability to this system stands out.

The CORK system consists of thermal insulation panels made of black cork agglomerate, which are fixed directly to current substrates such as masonry and concrete, or on them with plaster, using a bonding mortar. This product is also used for the execution of the regularization layer of the panels, reinforced with the incorporation of a fiberglass net, to improve the crack resistance and increase the resistance to impact. In the zones most exposed to possible mechanical aggressions, the system is further reinforced with the incorporation of a reinforcement net.

The finishes of the system must be performed with one of the following systems: Lime Finishing, primer and with silicate paint; or anti-alkali primer and acrylic finish. In addition to the decorative attributes, these types of finishes also have protection functions.
The system includes auxiliary components, such as mechanical fastening bushes and corner profiles, starting, dripping, among others, depending on the needs of the project.
The CORK system is a system with European technical approval, ETA 14/0200, LNEC approval document, DH 931 and declaration of performance.
